Michael Charlie was born in 1978 into the Navajo Nation. He began his interest in crafting Pottery when he was 16 years old. Mr. Charlie was inspired by his mother, Susie Charlie, who is credited for developing this unique style of art. She taught her son how to paint the colors onto the pottery as well as etch his pottery freehand.

Michael crafts on many different shapes & sizes of pottery like Wedding Vases, Seed Pots, Water Vessels & Olias. He etches feather designs & other geometric designs. His favorite pieces to craft are the ones he crafts with quality stones of Turquoise inlayed into the pottery.

Continuing long lived traditions is extremely important to Michael and by constructing his art he feels he is adding to the long lived legacy of his ancestors.  He signs his Pottery Michael Charlie.

Michael is related to Susie Charlie ( mother), Terri Charlie( sister), Brandon  & Myron Charlie (brothers).

This GORGEOUS Pot features hues of blue, black, tan & green,  Etched Eagle Feathers, Cedar Trees & Mountains.  The space between the designs represents Life Remaining Force.

It is approx 90mm tall & 94mm wide.

Seed opening is 33mm wide.

I personally hand pick each & every one of our Pottery Items when I travel to New Mexico.
