Colored Etched Horsehair Pottery created by Navajo Artist Sefarina Benally from Shiprock New Mexico.
Approximately 3.5" tall. 4.25" wide. 1.5" opening.
Each handcrafted pot starts from a raw casting. It is then painted and in some cases, etched with a pattern and then fired. Horse Hair is then arranged along the pot before fired again. The cindered remains of the hair form the web looking designs on the pot.
